Our names are Oscar Barry and David Courtney. We are both 15 years old and are staying here in Germany on a student exchange programme for three weeks at Eichendorff-Gymnasium. We came here to Germany to get a change from the routine of life back home and get to experience life in a different country. We also came here with the intention of improving our German language skills. We didn't expect everyone to be so kind and welcoming towards us. It made us feel very at home. We came here expecting everyone to be very firm and blunt, based off stereotypes from Ireland on the Germans. Eichendorff-Gymnasium has been very different to our school, Midleton College, back home. We have to wear a school uniform, unlike here in Eichendorff. We also have to stay on campus during lunch break back home in Ireland. All in all, we are enjoying our stay here in Germany and we will definitely miss it when we go back home. Oscar Barry and David Courtney
